Floral Regatta and Boat Race Mesmerize Crowds in Khanh Hoa, Vietnam
On Saturday, thousands of residents and tourists flocked to the Dinh River in Khanh Hoa Province for a mesmerizing flower boat festival. The event showcased a stunning display of 28 beautifully decorated flower boats, creating a picturesque scene that captivated all onlookers. Additionally, the festival also included an exhilarating boat race that added an element of excitement and competitiveness to the day's festivities. The atmosphere was filled with joy and awe as spectators marveled at the intricate floral arrangements and cheered on the skilled participants in the race. It was a truly memorable occasion that brought together people from all walks of life to appreciate the beauty of nature and share in a delightful celebration.
Spectators at the event held in Ninh Hoa Town, Khanh Hoa Province, showed their excitement.
The 28 flower boats were colorful and eye-catching, adorned with miniatures.
Meanwhile, the boat race attracted over 100 racers from different communes and wards in Ninh Hoa Town. They competed on a 700-meter course in men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles categories.

Le Minh Tam, vice-chairman of the People’s Committee of Ninh Hoa Town, noted that the flower boat festival and boat race have become annual events, drawing a large number of residents and tourists.
These events help preserve cultural values and showcase the beauty of the landscapes and people in Ninh Hoa Town. In the future, the town aims to develop these events into signature tourism products during the Lunar New Year holiday, known as Tet, Tam added.
A tourist named Le Minh Tam from Ho Chi Minh City expressed her admiration for the flower boats and hoped that the local authorities would expand the scale of the event.
