During the ceremony, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu expressed that Vietnam and Iran have actively engaged in high-level delegation exchanges and meetings, resulting in strengthened political trust and new cooperation opportunities. Economic and trade relations between the two countries are expected to grow positively in 2023.

The legal framework for cooperation between Vietnam and Iran is being further strengthened. Notably, the cooperation agreement between the National Standards Organization of Iran and Vietnam’s Directorate for Standards, Metrology, and Quality, as well as the Memorandum of Understanding on animal quarantine between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam and the Ministry of Agriculture of Iran, are significant documents that facilitate the promotion of agricultural and aquatic product exports, bringing Vietnamese goods in line with Halal standards into the Iranian market and Muslim countries in general.

“The signing of a record number of agreements and memorandums of understanding during these visits reflects the growing relations between our two countries,” said Iranian Ambassador Ali Akbar Nazari.

The Ambassador believes that, with the support of the leaders and people of the two countries, the mutually beneficial cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Iran will continue to be strengthened in all fields. This will contribute to the development of both peoples, as well as peace, stability, and cooperation in the region and the world.
