10th Anniversary Celebration: Exciting and Varied Events at Trang An World Heritage Site

The province of Ninh Binh in the north is set to mark ten years of being acknowledged as a UNESCO world cultural and natural heritage site with an array of activities scheduled throughout the year.

This information was disclosed during a press conference organized by the People’s Committee of Ninh Binh province.

During the event, Tran Song Tung, the vice chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Committee, highlighted that the province aims to launch various initiatives to strengthen community bonds, promote cultural exchanges, and enhance the reputation of the Trang An cultural heritage site among both local and international tourists.

Currently, Ninh Binh is the only region in Southeast Asia that possesses a combination of cultural and natural heritage.

Several activities will be organized this year to commemorate this special occasion, including the traditional Tet festival and an international scientific conference.

 Ke Ga Lighthouse is located on Ke Ga Island, 300m offshore of the mainland, which belongs to Tan Thanh Commune, Ham Thuan Nam District, Binh Thuan Province. It is the tallest and oldest lighthouse in Southeast Asia.
