The majority of these tourists originate from the Netherlands, the UK, France, Italy, Denmark, Hungary, Australia, Canada, the US, and Japan, according to VietnamPlus.
This international cruise marked its first visit to Da Nang during the New Year holiday.
Upon arrival, the tourists received flowers, gifts, and enjoyed lion dance performances.
During their stay in Da Nang, the tourists are scheduled to visit several tourist destinations, including Ngu Hanh Son Mountain, Linh Ung Pagoda, and Cham Sculpture Museum.
Last year, Da Nang received a total of 22 international cruise ships carrying 18,000 passengers. There are plans to welcome 45 more ships this year, bringing in over 40,000 tourists.

Based on statistics from the municipal Department of Tourism, the total number of visitors to Da Nang in 2023 is estimated to exceed 7.4 million, doubling the figure in 2022 and equivalent to 93% of the figure in 2019 before the Covid-19 pandemic. Vietnam Financial Times reported that the total number of international visitors is estimated to reach over 2 million, a four-fold increase year-on-year and equivalent to 62% of the figure in 2019.

Furthermore, there were 5.4 million domestic holidaymakers in Da Nang, an increase of 69% compared to 2022 and equivalent to 119% of the number in 2019.
The total revenue from accommodation, catering, and travel services is estimated to reach VND28 trillion ($1.2 billion), a surge of 67% compared to 2022 and equivalent to 133% of the figure in 2019.
Da Nang has identified five key product groups to optimize the city’s potential and advantages, including high-end cruise tourism; cultural and historical tourism; MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) tourism; urban tourism; and ecotourism./.
