In a statement posted on their verified Facebook page, Seoul E-Land confirmed that Toan has left the football club and will be joining a team in Vietnam. The 1996-born striker expressed gratitude to his team, fellow players, and those who treated him like family during his time at Seoul E-Land. His decision to leave was difficult but necessary for his career as a player.
Toan had previously played for Vietnam’s Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) FC before joining Seoul E-Land in January on a two-year contract. During his time at Seoul E-Land, Toan made nine appearances, four of which were starts, but did not score any goals or record any assists in the 388 minutes he played.
His last appearance for Seoul E-Land was on June 4, after which he suffered an injury and was sidelined for an extended period. He recently returned to the Vietnamese national team and contributed to their 2-0 win against Palestine on September 11.
According to Seoul E-Land’s announcement, Toan is currently in negotiations with Nam Dinh Football Club for the upcoming 2023-24 V. League 1 season. There are strong indications that he will rejoin Nam Dinh on a three-year contract.
