The exhibition titled “Hoang Sa and Truong Sa of Vietnam – Historical and Legal Evidence” aims to raise public awareness and responsibility for protecting the country’s sovereignty over sacred seas and islands. It also serves to commemorate the sacrifice of past generations in safeguarding these areas and reaffirm the determination of the Vietnamese Party, State, and people to firmly defend the nation’s sea and island sovereignty.
A digital exhibit has been launched at Vo Van Ky secondary school in the central province of Khanh Hoa to provide students with historical and legal evidence supporting Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos, according to VOV.

During the three-day event, students and teachers will have the chance to watch 3D films showcasing Vietnamese sovereignty over the two island groups in the South China Sea, as recognized by international law.
Additionally, the exhibition includes various photos and documents about the country’s sea and islands, collected by domestic and foreign researchers and scholars. Photos depicting the daily life of soldiers and people on Hoang Sa and Truong Sa are also on display.
Moreover, students are encouraged to participate in contests related to the two archipelagos, promoting their awareness and responsibility for the cause of national construction and defense.
The exhibition will take place in nine schools across Nha Trang city until October 21, as part of a public communication campaign to assert Vietnamese sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa.

Bringing a digital exhibition about Hoang Sa – Truong Sa to schools provides an opportunity for teachers and students to remember and pay tribute to the contributions and sacrifices of past generations in protecting the sovereignty over these two archipelagos.
In June, an exhibition entitled “Youth with the Homeland’s Sea and Islands” was opened in Tam Ky city, Quang Nam province, showcasing 152 documents and photos highlighting the history of Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa, current activities to protect the nation’s sovereignty, and the sentiments of the youth in Quang Nam and Da Nang towards the homeland’s sea and islands.
Vietnam has more than 3,200 km of coastline and approximately 1 million sq.m of exclusive economic zones. It is home to over 40 bays, 2,773 coastal islands, and various archipelagos including Hoang Sa and Truong Sa.
