The inaugural event, co-hosted by the esteemed World Flower Council and Da Lat University, has commenced in the city of Vietnam. This landmark occasion commemorates the 130th anniversary since the founding of the city.

The summit had the objective of recognizing the significance of flowers and the flower industry, with a goal of transforming them into a symbol of peace and cultural expression.

Efren Chatto, chairman of the World Flower Council, stated that the event was a gathering of floral artisans from around the globe, united in their commitment to promoting world peace through their exquisite floral creations. The event aimed to foster global camaraderie and contribute towards creating a more harmonious world.

According to Dr. Le Minh Chien, the president of Da Lat University, the summit aims to provide agricultural and tourism students with a fresh perspective on how to maximize the potential of the flower industry while establishing efficient value chains in Da Lat City.

Following the commencement of the opening ceremony, a talented group of flower designers from Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, the Philippines, Macau, and Hong Kong exhibited their exceptional flower-arranging abilities.

As part of the summit, a group of 18 talented designers from 18 different countries and territories came together to showcase their unique design styles and cultural influences. This demonstration, titled “My Country Design,” allowed these artisans to highlight the distinctiveness and features of their respective homelands.

The summit showcased an exciting flower-arranging competition, which will conclude on Monday.
