The annual painting contest “I Love Hanoi – City for Peace” is open to Vietnamese and international children aged 6 to 15. Submissions for the competition focus on themes such as “I love Hanoi – The city for peace”, “Hanoi – Creative city”, “For a greener Hanoi”, and “Protecting Hanoi’s environment”, among others.
The organizers have expressed their intention to use the contest as a platform to foster peace and friendship among local children, while also showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Hanoi, the historic capital of Vietnam. They hope to engage and educate young participants in the significance of these values through various activities and programs. By doing so, the contest aims to build a stronger sense of community and promote a positive image of Hanoi as a city with a profound history and a commitment to peace and harmony.
It is an incredible opportunity for children to unleash their artistic potential, passionately express their deep love for their homeland and country, and showcase their aspiration for a tranquil and prosperous world devoid of the hardships of war and poverty.
The “I Love Hanoi – City for Peace” 2023 Drawing Contest also aims to promote friendship by attracting the participation of international children living and studying in Hanoi.
According to the rules of the organizing committee, participants will have 90 minutes to create their artwork. They are allowed to use a variety of materials and genres, including watercolors, wax, powder, oil, and crayons, to complete their pieces.
The Drawing Contest Organizing Committee is pleased to announce that there will be several exciting prizes awarded to the winners of the contest. This includes a first prize, three second prizes, five third prizes, and 10 consolation prizes. Additionally, there will also be a number of runner-up prizes given out to deserving participants.
Applications for the contest should be submitted between September 15 and 20, 2023. The contest itself will be held on October 10, during the Capital Liberation Day, at Hoan Kiem Lake Pedestrian Street.
