The Marché du Film de Cannes is one of the largest film markets in the world. First established in 1959, the event is held annually in conjunction with the Cannes Film Festival. It provides a platform for filmmakers, distributors, financiers, and other industry professionals to connect, exchange ideas, and promote their projects. Every year, the Marché du Film de Cannes sees thousands of industry professionals attend its screenings, seminars, and other events. It is a great opportunity for filmmakers to get their work seen by a wide audience and to increase their chances of success in the film industry.

The main purpose of the market is to connect various players from the audiovisual industry, providing them with the opportunity to explore business opportunities, including collaborations, co-productions, financing, and distribution.

Over 12,500 film industry professionals head to Cannes annually to present and discover almost 4,000 films and projects in development at 33 screening venues.

Fast Track to Cannes Market is an initiative launched by the French Embassy in Vietnam to give Vietnamese representatives the opportunity to attend the Marché du Film de Cannes during the Cannes Film Festival. Through this program, Vietnamese cinema will be able to connect with the world and receive the support it needs to grow.
