Fansipan is located in Sa Pa, a mountain town in northern Vietnam’s Lao Cai province.

Tourists atop the mountain enjoyed various phases of heavy and light snowfall throughout the day, adding an air of joy to an otherwise cloudy morning.

Some tourists even took advantage of the weather to build snowmen.

Luong Minh Tam, a tourist from northern Bac Giang Province, said that he has visited Fansipan for five times, but this was the first time he had witnessed snowfall.

Tam and his friends used the snowfall as an opportunity for a unique photoshoot.

The snow turned to rain at about 11:30 am the same day.
