A local fỉlm has introduced electric car tours in Hanoi to celebrate the National Tourism Year 2022 and the 31st SEA Games to boost the city’s “green” tourism products.

The tours, which are included in the tourism program titled “Green tourism in a green city with eco-friendly transportation” operated by Dong Xuan Travel JSC, feature three new “green tours” to help visitors discover culture, heritages, and relics in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, the area typical for French architecture.
A representative of Dong Xuan Travel said that these 40-minute tours will cover different routes to help travelers explore Hanoi from different perspectives.
Travelers who join the first tour will travel on an electric car to pass through some commercial, craft and food streets namely Ma May, Hang Bac, Bat Dan, Hang Bo, among others in addition to stops at Dong Xuan Market, Quan Chuong Gate, Bach Ma Temple, King Le Thai To Monument, Ba Kieu Temple and so on.
The second tour takes visitors to old streets in Hanoi’s Old Quarter area such as Hang Dao, Hang Ngang, Hang Duong, Ngo Gach, Lo Ren Streets as well as “French streets” built under the French colonial rule such as Ly Thuong Kiet, Le Thanh Tong, Trang Tien Streets, among others.
Meanwhile, the third route introduces streets with many French architectures such as: Dinh Tien Hoang, Le Thai To, Trang Tien, Tong Dan, Ly Thai To, Le Thanh Tong. In this journey, tourists will have the opportunity to admire the classic French architecture, most notably the Opera House and the old buildings of the University of Indochina.

The current fare for each tour is VND35,000 (US$1.5) per person.
This program, which aims to serve the 31st SEA Games, will last until the end of May. Groups of tourists and travel agencies who book these tours in advance will enjoy a 20% discount on available fares.
Vice Chairman of Hoan Kiem District People’s Committee Nguyen Anh Quan said that joining these electric car tours would be a good chance for travelers to get to know some friendly locals.
In addition, the tourism model provides interesting experience to not only foreigners but also Vietnamese people from all over the country who love riding electric cars for their safety, affordability, and environmental friendliness, he said.
There will be many cultural and tourism programs organized in Hoan Kiem district to welcome the biggest sports event of Southeast Asia region, in which, these ‘green tours’ are the highlight,” he added.
In the coming time, a number of specific tours to help travelers discover the typical culture of Hanoi, visit craft villages and craft streets, and explore Hanoi culinary arts, among others, will also be launched.
