The extension was included in Nhu’s previous contract with Lank FC Vilaverdense, and this clause was activated by the club due to their satisfaction with the performance of the Vietnamese player.
During the previous season, she demonstrated her exceptional skills on the field by scoring a total of seven goals and successfully completing two passes in various competitions while proudly representing Lank FC Vilaverdense.
The exact increase in Nhu’s salary has not been disclosed; however, experts in football anticipate that it will surpass the 1,500 euros (US$1,627) per month that she earned in the previous season.
Nhu, who is currently 32 years old, had her debut with the Ho Chi Minh City I football club when she was just 17 years old. Throughout her career, she has achieved an impressive seven national championships.

She currently holds the role of captain for Vietnam’s national women’s team and has achieved four gold medals in the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games. Additionally, she has successfully qualified for the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
She made history as the first female Vietnamese player to join the European football league, having signed a contract with Lank FC Vilaverdense in August 2022.
The Portuguese club granted her permission to compete in the prestigious 32nd SEA Games held in May in Cambodia, where she achieved an impressive gold medal victory. Notably, this tournament was not officially scheduled during the designated FIFA Days, and the club was under no obligation to release their players.
During the recent 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, held in New Zealand and Australia, the Vietnamese national women’s team, led by Nhu, faced consecutive defeats in all three group-stage matches, failing to score any goals.
