The Vietnamese women’s football team is gearing up for a friendly tournament against formidable opponents: China, Japan, and South Korea. With a FIFA Women’s World Ranking of 37, Vietnam is poised to challenge higher-ranked teams, including China (18th), Japan (7th), and South Korea (19th).

Ahead of the tournament, the team concluded their final training session at the Vietnam Youth Football Center in Hanoi on Friday. Their preparation also includes a two-week training camp in the Czech Republic, commencing early Sunday morning.

During their time in the Czech Republic, they will play three friendly matches against renowned clubs: Germany’s Red Bull Leipzig, Czech’s FK Pardubice, and Viktoria Plzen. These encounters will undoubtedly contribute to the team’s growth and experience.

Demonstrating their support, the VFF chairman, Tran Quoc Tuan, met with the players and presented them with gifts as a token of encouragement before their departure. The VFF is also proactively coordinating with European countries to facilitate future training trips and bolster preparations for the 2025 season.
