The trio of foreign players arrived in Vietnam on Monday evening and wasted no time in joining their new teammates for training at Tao Dan Stadium in District 1 on Tuesday afternoon. They seemed excited and eager to introduce themselves to the Ho Chi Minh City FC family.

She expressed her delight at joining the team and praised the enthusiasm and kindness of her teammates, hoping for a positive and successful journey with Ho Chi Minh City FC.
Root Medhan Callahan, with prior experience playing in Canada and Iceland, also extended her gratitude to the team for the warm welcome. Although she is new to Vietnamese football, she is aware of the strong competition and is excited to represent the club in the AFC Women’s Champions League.
Talani Barnett, the US center-back, previously played for Ohio State FC in the US. The defensive addition will surely strengthen the backline for the upcoming tournament.
Ho Chi Minh City FC’s training session on Tuesday afternoon had a limited number of players, as key footballers like Huynh Nhu and Tran Thi Thuy Trang are currently with the women’s national team in Hanoi. The coaching staff is planning a friendly match for the new foreign players to be held on Wednesday afternoon, which will help them gain match fitness and adapt to their new team.
