Uniting the People of Hanoi
Hanoi’s Director of Culture and Sports shed light on the “Cultural Festival for Peace,” a grand celebration marking two important milestones in the city’s history. Scheduled for October 6th, the festival will take over the Ly Thai To Flower Garden and Hoan Kiem Lake Pedestrian Zone, bringing together 10,000 participants and spectators from all walks of life.
The festival program has been meticulously planned, with the municipal government gathering input and finalizing the details. The event aims to foster a joyful and proud atmosphere, celebrating Hanoi’s rich culture and history while promoting unity among its citizens and attracting domestic and foreign tourists alike.

Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee, emphasized the importance of utilizing all media channels to promote the festival, ensuring that citizens, tourists, and people nationwide are aware and engaged. This, he said, presents a valuable opportunity to showcase Hanoi’s cultural and historical allure.
Planning for a Seamless Execution
Chairman Thanh, in his concluding remarks, stressed the need for close coordination with the media to promote the festival effectively. He also highlighted the importance of developing a comprehensive communication plan for the event. To ensure the safety and security of participants and spectators, Thanh called for careful scenario planning and increased security measures during the dress rehearsals and official performances.

Additionally, a special art program, “Hanoi – City of Peace – City of Flying Dragon,” will take place at My Dinh National Stadium on October 10th, serving as a grand finale to the anniversary celebrations. This spectacular event is expected to attract 25,000 attendees, including a diverse range of citizens from all walks of life.

Nguyen Van Phong emphasized the magnitude of the special arts program, stating that it will be a large-scale event that showcases the city’s capacity for organizing international-level celebrations. With safety as a top priority, Chairman Thanh reiterated the importance of guaranteeing the security of participants and spectators during the drone light show and fireworks display, ensuring that the celebrations are both memorable and safe for all involved.
