Vietnam Predicted to Experience Heavy Rain in Certain Areas on September 11

Forecasters are warning of hazardous weather conditions for Vietnam on September 11, with heavy rain, potential thunderstorms, flash floods, and landslides predicted.

The National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting has announced that there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in the Northern and North Central regions, with heavy rain in some areas. Rainfall is expected to range from 15 – 30 mm, and in some places, it may exceed 70 mm.

From September 11-12, there will be showers, thunderstorms, and heavy rain in the Northern and North Central regions, Central Highlands, and Southern regions.

The weather forecast in different regions

The Northwest: Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms, with rain primarily occurring in the afternoon and night. There is a risk of tornadoes, lightning, and strong winds during thunderstorms. The lowest temperature will be 23-26 degrees Celsius, dropping below 23 degrees Celsius in some areas. The highest temperature will range from 31-34 degrees Celsius.

Thanh Hoa – Thua Thien Hue: Look out for scattered showers and thunderstorms, with heavy rain in certain areas. The South will experience showers and thunderstorms in the evening and night, with sunny days. Tornadoes, lightning, and strong winds are expected during thunderstorms. The lowest temperature will be 24-27 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature will range from 31-34 degrees Celsius, exceeding 34 degrees Celsius in some places.

Da Nang to Binh Thuan: Expect showers and thunderstorms in some areas, with sunny days. Tornadoes, lightning, and strong winds are possible during thunderstorms. The lowest temperature will be 24-27 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature will range from 32-35 degrees Celsius, exceeding 35 degrees Celsius in some places.

The Central Highlands: Expect showers and thunderstorms in some areas, mainly in the afternoon and evening, with moderate to heavy rain locally. Tornadoes, lightning, and strong winds are possible during thunderstorms. The lowest temperature will be 21-24 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature will range from 27-30 degrees Celsius, exceeding 30 degrees Celsius in some places.

Southern Vietnam: Look out for showers and thunderstorms in some areas, with heavy rain locally. Tornadoes, lightning, and strong winds are possible during thunderstorms. The lowest temperature will be 24-27 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature will range from 30-33 degrees Celsius, exceeding 33 degrees Celsius in some places.

Ho Chi Minh City: The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that the weather in Ho Chi Minh City on September 11 will be cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in many areas.

Expect cloudy weather with scattered showers and thunderstorms in Ho Chi Minh City. The temperature will range from 26-27 degrees Celsius, slightly higher than the previous night. The average humidity will be 93-99%, and the cloud density will be 91-95%.
