Vietnam-Czech Friendship Association Holds Year of Dragon Meeting

The Vietnam - Czech Friendship Association held its annual Spring Meeting on March 2, 2024, in Hanoi.

Attending the meeting were Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Vietnam, Hynek Kmoníček, and his wife, Nikola Sicherova, Head of the Economic and Trade Department, Dana Brabcova, Director of the Czech Cultural Center in Hanoi, Nguyen Van Chi, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly Finance and Budget Committee, and Chairwoman of the Vietnamese – Czech parliamentary group.

This annual activity allows members to meet and strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic.

Speaking at the meeting, Nguyen Minh Hong – Vice Chairman of the Vietnam – Czech Friendship Association said that the Association will organize regular activities to promote the strong relations between Vietnam and the Czech Republic.

In 2024, the Association will continue to implement people-to-people diplomacy and cultural exchange activities, serving as a friendship bridge to enhance mutual understanding and foster cooperative relations between Vietnamese and Czech organizations, businesses, and individuals.

This annual activity allows members to meet and strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic.

The key task is to organize a congress for the 2024-2029 term to propose work and strengthen the Association’s organizational apparatus. The Association plans to hold a congress for the 2024-2029 term in the third quarter of 2024.

On the Year of the Dragon, Nguyen Minh Hong wishes all guests and members a new year of good health and prosperity, and the Vietnam-Czech friendship will become increasingly sustainable.

Ambassador Hynek Kmoníče informed that in 2024, the Embassy welcomes many visits from delegations from the Czech Republic to Vietnam, including the delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture with 80 representatives of Czech businesses. The Embassy will also organize several cultural activities and culinary exchanges between the two countries.

At the meeting, the guests toasted the new year together and sang traditional songs of the Czech Republic in a joyful, warm atmosphere filled with Vietnam-Czech friendship.
