These extra flights will add approximately 45,000 seats on high-demand routes connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to popular destinations such as Danang, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Hue, Pleiku, Buon Ma Thuot, and Con Dao. International services to China, Thailand, and Australia will also be expanded.
Passengers are encouraged to streamline their travel experience by completing online check-in within 24 hours before departure. This can be done through the Vietnam Airlines website, mobile app, VNeID platform, customer service hotline at 19006265, or self-service kiosks at airports.
In addition to increasing flight frequency, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) has mandated strict adherence to air transport pricing regulations, particularly for routes involving Hanoi.

As of December 25, around 15,000 tickets have been sold, with availability remaining for pre-Tet services from southern stations to Hanoi.
Vietnam Railways emphasizes that the additional capacity is designed to ensure safe and efficient travel during the holiday peak. Passengers are advised to use official channels and book early to secure their seats.
On December 19, Vietnam Railways invested over VND60 billion (US$2.3 million) in upgrading 162 carriages, focusing on technological advancements and interior improvements.
