Lao Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Awarded with Friendship Insignia

The Lao Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, Phimpha Keomixay, has been given an insignia to recognise the significant contributions they have made to the cause of peace, friendship, cooperation, and development.

Lao Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Phimpha Keomixay was awarded the insignia “For peace and friendship among nations” of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) on August 22.

The insignia honors her contributions to the cause of peace, friendship, cooperation, and development.

During the ceremony, Do Viet Ha, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO), emphasized the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

The Consul General has played an active role in strengthening the traditional solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between Vietnamese and Lao people through various practical activities in areas such as economy-trade, culture-sports, health care, and education, among others, Ha said.

Do Viet Ha expressed hope that the diplomat will carry out more activities to further strengthen the fraternity between HCM City residents and Lao people.

Keomixay expressed her honor to receive the insignia and thanked local leaders, departments, agencies, and HUFO for their close cooperation, coordination, and assistance.

The Consul General pledged to strengthen the good friendship and close ties between Lao people and their Vietnamese counterparts, including HCM City residents, in any position.
