Last weekend, the department launched an extensive medical preparedness campaign, a vital step to guarantee seamless medical services throughout the Congress.

Dr. Dien emphasized that all relevant units must maintain 24/7 availability, ready to receive patients, provide emergency care, and effectively manage disease outbreaks and food safety risks.

He urged all health sector officials and staff in Hanoi to demonstrate unwavering responsibility and professionalism, ensuring absolute medical safety and contributing to the Congress’s overall success.

All essential equipment and specialized vehicles are fully deployed and operational.

Dr. Dien also called for close collaboration with security forces and local authorities to maintain public order and medical safety, alongside enhanced information-sharing to address emerging challenges promptly.

Bui Van Hao, Director of the Hanoi Center for Disease Control (CDC Hanoi), pledged to deploy top-tier human resources and proactively implement specialized plans. “Our focus is on epidemiological surveillance, early detection, and rapid response to infectious diseases citywide, while also monitoring food supply chains and processing facilities serving the Congress,” said Hao.

Adequate personnel are on standby to address all needs throughout the Congress week.

Additionally, CDC Hanoi will strengthen environmental sanitation, conduct disinfection, manage health risk factors, and monitor water quality at event venues and delegate accommodations.

The center will operate a 24/7 on-duty system, with personnel, equipment, chemicals, and medical supplies ready for immediate and effective response to any situation.

Tran Ngoc Son, Deputy Director of Saint Paul General Hospital, confirmed that the hospital is among the designated medical service providers for the Congress. “We’ve developed robust plans, mobilized experienced medical teams, and established four 24-hour medical stations at key locations,” said Son.

Furthermore, the hospital’s rapid response team remains on high alert to address any emerging situations promptly.
