The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has reported that the majority of the Northeast and North Central regions, as well as some areas in the Northwest and Central regions, have been affected by cold air. In the Gulf of Tonkin and the northern portion of the East Sea, strong Northeast winds at level 6, with gusts at level 7, have been observed.

Since the morning of February 9, the area from Quang Tri to Binh Dinh has experienced scattered showers, locally heavy rain, and thunderstorms. During these thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong winds. The strong winds and large waves at sea may impact ship movements and other activities.

The severe and harmful cold weather can affect livestock, poultry, and the growth of plants.

Thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong winds can also have an impact on agricultural production, damage trees, houses, traffic, and infrastructure.

The weather forecast in different regions

Northwest region: The weather is expected to be cloudy and rainy in the morning, and sunny in the afternoon. The lowest temperature will range from 13 to 16 degrees, with some places going below 13 degrees. The highest temperature will reach 18 to 21 degrees, with some places exceeding 26 degrees.

Northeast region: The weather will be cloudy, with light rain possible in some areas. Northeast wind level 2-3. The weather will be very cold, with the lowest temperature ranging from 11 to 14 degrees, and even below 5 degrees in some places. The highest temperature will range from 14 to 17 degrees, and below 12 degrees in high mountains.

Thanh Hoa – Thua Thien Hue: The weather will be cloudy with heavy rain in some parts of the region, and sunny in the afternoon. The lowest temperature will be 14 to 17 degrees in the north and 18 to 21 degrees in the south. The highest temperature will range from 16 to 19 degrees in the north and 20 to 23 degrees in the south.

Da Nang – Binh Thuan: The weather will be cloudy and sunny during the day, with showers expected in the evening and at night. In the northern areas, it will be cloudy with locally heavy rain and thunderstorms in some places. Northeast wind level 3-4. The lowest temperature will be 21 to 24 degrees. The highest temperature will range from 26 to 29 degrees in the north and 30 to 33 degrees in the south.

The Central Highlands: The weather will be cloudy with sunny intervals during the day, and no rain at night. Northeast to east wind level 2-3. The lowest temperature will be 19 to 22 degrees. The highest temperature will range from 28 to 31 degrees.

The Southern region: The weather will be cloudy with sunny intervals during the day, and no rain at night. Northeast to east wind level 2-3. The lowest temperature will be 22 to 25 degrees. The highest temperature will range from 31 to 34 degrees.

Hanoi: The weather forecast predicts cloudy weather with light rain in some areas. Northeast wind level 3. The lowest temperature will range from 11 to 13 degrees. The highest temperature will range from 15 to 17 degrees. The relative humidity will be between 89% and 95%, with cloud density ranging from 31% to 100%.

Ho Chi Minh City: The weather will be sunny and hot in the morning and afternoon, with no rain at night. East to southeast wind level 2-3. The lowest temperature will range from 22 to 25 degrees. The highest temperature will range from 31 to 34 degrees.
