Freezing Cold Weather Expected in Christmas Eve in Vietnam

According to the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting, the weather in the North, specifically Thanh Hoa and Nghe An, will continue to be extremely cold, particularly in the mountainous areas. The region from Ha Tinh to Thua Thien Hue will also experience cold weather.

The lowest night and early morning temperatures in the North, Thanh Hoa, and Nghe An will range from 7-10 degrees, with even colder temperatures in the Northern mountainous region. In the area from Ha Tinh to Thua Thien Hue, the temperatures are expected to be between 13-16 degrees.

The weather forecast for different regions

The Northwest region: The weather will be foggy in the early morning and sunny during the day. High mountain areas may experience frost. The lowest temperature will range from 8-11 degrees, with some places going below 7 degrees. The highest temperature will be between 15-18 degrees.

The Northeast region: The weather is predicted to be foggy in the early morning and sunny during the day. The extremely low temperatures can be harmful to people’s health. The northern midlands and mountainous areas may experience frost. The lowest temperature will range from 7-10 degrees, while the highest temperature will range from 15-18 degrees, with some places going above 18 degrees.

Thanh Hoa – Thua Thien Hue: The weather in the north will be sunny and cloudy, while the south will experience moderate to heavy rain. The mountainous areas will have extremely cold temperatures. The lowest temperature will be 10-13 degrees in the north and 13-16 degrees in the south. The highest temperature will range from 15-18 degrees.

The Central Highlands: The weather will be cloudy with showers and thunderstorms in some places. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong winds. The lowest temperature will range from 17-20 degrees, and the highest temperature will range from 23-26 degrees.

The Southern region: The weather will be a mix of cloudy and sunny, with showers and thunderstorms in some places. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong winds. The lowest temperature will be 22-25 degrees, with some places in the East going below 22 degrees. The highest temperature will be 28-31 degrees, with some places in the East going above 31 degrees.

The weather forecast for major cities

Hanoi: The weather will be cloudy and cold, with no rain in the evening and at night. It will be sunny in the afternoon. The lowest temperature will be 8-10 degrees, and the highest temperature will be 16-18 degrees.

Ho Chi Minh City: According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather in the Ho Chi Minh City area will be cloudy in the afternoon and sunny during the day. The temperature will range from 28-31 degrees, slightly lower than the previous days by 1-3 degrees.
