THE HANOI TIMES — Hanoi’s inaugural Autumn Fair 2025 concluded triumphantly, raising over US$13 million for flood-stricken communities in central Vietnam.
The funds were generated through the “Autumn of Hope – Sharing Love” campaign, which included a $12 million donation drive launched at the fair’s opening and the redirection of $1.2 million originally allocated for closing ceremony fireworks.

The “Autumn of Hope – Sharing Love” initiative strategically placed donation boxes at all venue entrances, accepting contributions via bank transfers, cash, or in-kind donations from visitors, businesses, and locals.
Additional donations were received through VietinBank account number 26102025, managed by the central relief committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
In a November 1 directive, Tran Sy Thanh, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, stated that canceling the fireworks exemplified Hanoi’s solidarity with Hue, Danang, and Quang Ngai Province, which suffered devastating flood damage.
“Autumn Fair 2025 transcends trade promotion,” declared Hanoi’s mayor. “It embodies social responsibility, proving economic growth must align with human and community development. Participating businesses are encouraged to pursue opportunities while cultivating a compassionate corporate image.”
At the November 3 closing ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh urged nationwide businesses and citizens to sustain support for affected communities, aiding their recovery and livelihood restoration.
