Ta Xua is a mountain peak located between Son La Province and Yen Bai Province. This place is a familiar destination for those who love to explore the North of Vietnam. From Bac Yen town (Son La Province), you will have to travel about 15 km to the “dinosaur backbone” on the top of Ta Xua Peak. However, the road to the top of the mountain is quite dangerous with steep slopes, requiring “mastered” motorcycle skills.

Here, you will see a “dinosaur backbone”- shaped trail on the top of the 2,800-meter high mountain with precipitous sides. The end of the trail is usually where visitors stop to enjoy the spectacular scenery surrounded by mountains and fluffy moving clouds.

Another “dinosaur backbone” is the tortuous trail on the top of Cha Mountain which is about 45 km northeast of Lang Son city, located in Mau Son Commune, Loc Binh District, Lang Son Province. To explore this place, you have to go through the zigzag and dangerous roads.
