Aside from international tourists from South Korea, Russia, and Kazakhstan, Khanh Hoa welcomed visitors from China on charters flights operated by Vietjet Air.

About 15 trains also arrived in the province on a daily basis during this period.

Due to the long-term impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, about 100 accommodation establishments with over 6,000 rooms, mostly small-scale, temporarily shut down during this year’s Lunar New Year holiday.

On Tuesday, the third day of the 2023 lunar year, about 3,900 tourists, 85 percent of whom were international visitors, came to the Nha Trang tourist wharf for trips to islands within Nha Trang Bay, said Tran Van Phu, head of the tourist wharf management unit.

Visitors mainly went on tours to visit Mun Islet, Tam Islet, and Coral Bay, Phu elaborated.

According to Tran Minh Duc, deputy director of Long Phu Tourism JSC, tours to islands in Nha Trang could not reach the full potential due to the rainy and cold weather on the first days of the Lunar New Year.
