The Vietnamese pavilion, a collaborative effort between the Vietnam Cultural Center in France and the Vietnam National Arts Theatre, swiftly became a highlight of the event. Its captivating imagery, music, and interactive experiences offered a vibrant showcase of Vietnam’s unique cultural heritage.
The exhibition boasted 50 stunning artistic photographs, capturing the essence of Vietnam’s landscapes and heritage from the north to the south. Traditional musical instruments were not only displayed but also brought to life through live performances, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the distinctive sounds of Vietnamese music. French-language leaflets provided further insights for curious attendees.
Dinh Ngoc Duc, Director of the Vietnam Cultural Center in France, emphasized the successful collaboration with the Vietnam National Song and Dance Theatre as a key aspect of this year’s participation. Meticulously choreographed performances at both the Vietnamese pavilion and the main Salon stage vividly introduced Vietnamese culture to a global audience.
Traditional music, folk dances, and elegant Ao Dai presentations captivated the audience, showcasing the richness and diversity of Vietnamese traditions. Tourism promotion efforts also yielded positive results, with increased visitor interest and inquiries from European tourism businesses seeking partnership opportunities.
Over the two-day event, the pavilion hosted four daily performance sessions, some of which seamlessly blended French and European melodies with Vietnamese traditions, fostering cultural exchange. Additional attractions, including calligraphy demonstrations, martial arts displays, and lion dances, drew large crowds.
The opening ceremony featured a stunning presentation of Ao Dai and traditional ethnic costumes, accompanied by folk music and dance. The Vietnamese delegation proudly participated in the international parade, leaving a lasting impression.
As the Salon de l’Asie 2025 drew to a close, the Vietnamese art troupe performed for the Vietnamese community in the Rhône-Lyon region on November 30th at the Villeurbanne City Cultural Center, further strengthening cultural ties.
