The Frankfurt Book Fair 2025, marking its 77th edition, is set to be a global literary extravaganza. With over 4,000 publishers from more than 90 countries and territories in attendance, the event is anticipated to attract over 200,000 visitors, solidifying its position as the world’s largest book fair.
The opening ceremony of the Vietnam Book Space was graced by Phan Tam, Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Claudia Kaiser, Vice President of the Frankfurt Book Fair. This dedicated space, spanning 100 square meters, showcases an impressive collection of over 1,200 titles across diverse genres, including literature, history, culture, children’s books, science, and digital publishing. The event drew nearly 100 delegates, highlighting its significance.
Deputy Minister Tam expressed Vietnam’s aspirations to foster international collaboration in co-publishing, translation, and copyright exchange. The country aims to expand its investments in e-books, audiobooks, and global copyright platforms, facilitating the rapid and seamless introduction of Vietnamese narratives to a worldwide audience.
During their visit, the Vietnamese delegation engaged with the Vietnamese Consulate General in Frankfurt, presenting books to both the Consulate and the local Vietnamese community, further strengthening cultural ties.
The Frankfurt Book Fair 2025 will continue to captivate book enthusiasts until October 19, offering a unique platform for cultural exchange and literary exploration.
