A large group of Indian tourists, the biggest so far this year, explored the unique and fascinating destinations of the province and its neighboring areas, as shared by Nguyen Vu Khanh, the center director, last Saturday.

These visitors were employees of India’s prominent pharmaceutical company, JB Pharma.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the international tourists embarked on a journey to discover multiple captivating sites within the province and its nearby localities.

One of their experiences included a boat ride to Thoi Son Islet, situated along the tranquil Tien River, where they relished tea infused with local honey.

Additionally, they traveled by electric vehicles along rustic village roads to fruit gardens, where they were treated to traditional ‘don ca tai tu’ (southern folk music) performances, offering a glimpse into the local culture.

During their boat tour, the tourists were mesmerized by the natural beauty of the river branches and canals that weave through the Mekong Delta. They also visited a coconut candy processing facility at Con Phung, a floating island nestled on the Tien River in Chau Thanh District, Ben Tre Province.

The group also had the opportunity to visit Vinh Trang Pagoda in My Tho City, Tien Giang Province, approximately 70 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City. The pagoda, renowned for its unique architecture, stands as one of the oldest in southern Vietnam.

According to Khanh, there has been a significant increase in international tourist arrivals, with a 20 percent surge compared to previous months.

The majority of foreign visitors originate from India, South Korea, and Japan.

My Tho Marina, a popular tourist destination in the province, welcomes around 1,000 visitors daily and accommodates up to 1,500 guests on weekends.
