Can Tho City in southern Vietnam is gearing up for vibrant Lunar New Year festivities, as announced by the municipal Department of Industry and Trade. The celebrations, taking over Tay Do Square in Cai Rang District, will run from January 17 to 28, coinciding with the 18th to 29th of the 12th lunar month.
A key attraction is the Tet flower market, showcasing 200 booths exhibiting ornamental plants, bonsai, and vibrant floral displays. Local growers and cooperatives from Can Tho and neighboring Mekong Delta provinces will bring their finest offerings. This includes participants from the renowned Sa Dec flower village in Dong Thap Province, known for its diverse range of over 2,000 floral varieties.
The event organizers have ensured that all vendors will have free access to booths, electricity, and water facilities. The enthusiasm among farmers and vendors is evident, with additional participants requesting to join this colorful celebration.
