Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has urged Vietnamese youth to enhance their pioneering role in three key areas and accelerate efforts across six critical domains. By doing so, they can join the nation in progressing towards a new era of development.
During his speech at the Vietnam Outstanding Young Faces Awards 2024 ceremony in Hanoi on March 23, commemorating the 94th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, PM Chinh emphasized the need for youth to take the lead in innovative thinking and strategic vision. He also encouraged them to spearhead scientific research, technological advancements, and digital transformation, while promoting Vietnam’s culture and identity on the global stage.
The Prime Minister outlined six focal points for the youth to prioritize: fulfilling political tasks with agility and innovation; streamlining organizational structures and administrative processes; excelling in production, business, and entrepreneurship; fostering social equity and welfare, leaving no one behind; enhancing international integration, cultural diplomacy, and independent economy; and strengthening national defense and security, with a willingness to sacrifice for the Fatherland.
Recalling Ho Chi Minh’s famous words about the importance of youth as the future of the nation, PM Chinh highlighted the Party and State’s commitment to prioritizing the role of young people. He commended the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for its efforts in nurturing young talents and fostering high-quality human resources for the country’s progress.
As Vietnam approaches significant milestones in 2025, including pivotal political and economic transitions, PM Chinh encouraged young people to embrace a bold, decisive, and collaborative mindset. He urged them to aim high and work together to build a prosperous and modern Vietnam.
