Chairman Thai highlighted that Da Lat’s flowers are not just an economic cornerstone of the region but also a symbol of the resilience and unity of the Central Highlands’ diverse ethnic minority groups.

During the opening ceremony, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh commended Lam Dong Province for its remarkable achievements over the years.

He noted that the province has successfully hosted nine editions of the Dalat Flower Festival in the past two decades, solidifying its status as a national cultural and tourism extravaganza.

Deputy Prime Minister Binh eagerly anticipated Da Lat welcoming its 10 millionth tourist next year, further establishing its reputation as a world-class tourist destination.

This festival, he emphasized, is a celebration of the people of Lam Dong Province and an opportunity for both local and international visitors to immerse themselves in the region’s cultural riches and tourism offerings. He underscored the festival’s role in boosting the development of the agricultural economy, seamlessly intertwining tourism, heritage preservation, and environmental protection.

Deputy Prime Minister Binh voiced his confidence in Lam Dong Province’s ability to continue harnessing its tourism potential and cultural strengths while embracing sustainable practices, setting a benchmark for green and sustainable development.

The opening ceremony of the 10th Dalat Flower Festival 2024 was a spectacle, drawing over 15,000 attendees, including locals and tourists alike.

The event featured a stellar lineup of renowned domestic and international artists, including singers Ho Ngoc Ha, Ho Quynh Huong, Van Mai Huong, Ho Trung Dung, and Nguyen Ngoc Anh, along with music group The Wings, rapper Ram C, and South Korean violinist Jmi Ko.

The artistic program celebrated the beauty of flowers and floriculture, showcasing the region’s cultural heritage through captivating performances.
