The Ho Chi Minh City River Festival is a celebration of the city’s vibrant culture and history. With 24 booths, this three-day event showcases the unique cuisine, art, and entertainment of the river region. Visitors can indulge in local dishes, participate in fun activities, and enjoy performances that bring the city’s heritage to life.

Nguyen Anh My Hoang, Vice Chairperson of the Ho Chi Minh City Food & Beverage Association (FBA), highlights that the festival offers a holistic experience beyond just food. The event, held from May 31 to June 9 at Nha Rong-Khanh Hoi Wharf, Saigon Cruise Port, and other tourist venues, officially kicks off with an opening ceremony on the evening of May 31.

What sets this festival apart is the diverse range of activities on offer. From cultural and artistic exhibitions to culinary competitions, there’s something for everyone. Adventure seekers can take part in the river swimming tournament or stand-up paddleboarding race, while those who prefer a more relaxed pace can enjoy discounts of up to 60% on over 50 waterway tours. The festival also features exciting performances on water motorcycles, parasailing displays, and sailboats, adding a unique twist to the celebrations.

With nearly 1,000 kilometers of rivers and canals, Ho Chi Minh City has an incredible opportunity to develop captivating waterway tourism products.
