The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) has embarked on a collaborative effort with relevant agencies to establish electronic identification accounts for organizations. This initiative will enable a seamless transition for all enterprises to conduct their administrative procedures electronically, with a target implementation date of July 1, 2025.

In alignment with the recently signed directive on Project 06, which centers on enhancing resident data, electronic identification, and authentication applications to support Vietnam’s national digital transformation agenda from 2022 to 2025, and beyond to 2030, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has instructed the MPS to work in conjunction with other ministries and sectors. Their collective endeavor involves finalizing the development of specialized databases, which will ultimately enhance the quality and accessibility of online public services for all.

Additionally, the directive tasks the Ministry of Justice with expediting the digitization of civil registration data. Once this process is completed by local authorities, they are required to promptly coordinate with the MPS to connect, verify, and synchronize their data with the National Population Database. This streamlined approach will significantly reduce redundancy and simplify administrative procedures across the board.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed to identify a partner country for data linkage in collaboration with the MPS. This international cooperation will facilitate the implementation of online public services pertaining to immigration, labor, healthcare, and education for both citizens and businesses. A comprehensive roadmap detailing these initiatives is anticipated to be presented by April, marking a significant step forward in Vietnam’s digital transformation journey.
