More than 100 sketches submitted by the artists – ranging from seven to 70 years old – depict gratitude toward hospital staff, relatives exercising in front of the television, children participating in Internet classes, those who are in self-isolation, and images that have become symbols of the current situation, such as immune-boosting fruits.
Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, head of The Urban Sketchers Hanoi, plans to display the challenge’s best submissions in an exhibition.
She also has plans to auction off the artwork and put 50 percent of the proceeds toward COVID-19 prevention and the rest in a fund managed by the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
