The function was held as part of activities to celebrate the 29th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Israel this year.
Addressing the event, Ambassador Ly Duc Trung briefed participants on Vietnam’s great potential for investment, tourism and cultural co-operation.
To mark 30 years of bilateral diplomacy next year, he said both sides are anticipated to host a range of activities, including the exchange of delegations and organisations among leaders of the two countries.
They will also plan to accelerate the implementation of bilateral co-operation mechanisms by enhancing investment and science-technology ties and finalising negotiations of the Vietnam-Israel Free Trade Agreement and the Labour Cooperation Agreement, added the diplomat.
According to Trung, the two countries will also consider launching direct flights and strengthening Israel’s support for Vietnamese innovative start-ups and projects.
During the event, Israeli visitors were given the opportunity to gain greater insights into Vietnam and its people through movies, paintings, photo books, and traditional products on display.
They also had the chance to enjoy a fashion show of Ao Dai – a traditional Vietnamese long dress – and sample some typical Vietnamese dishes.
