The event was co-hosted by the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee, the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). Tran Hong Tien, Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, emphasized the strengthening of Vietnam-India relations in recent years. This growth is evident across political, economic, cultural, educational, and people-to-people exchanges.
According to Tien, the concert served as more than just a musical exchange. It provided a unique opportunity for the local audience to experience modern rock music seamlessly blended with classical instruments and contemporary elements.
Mahesh Chand Giri, Consul and Head of Chancery at the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, highlighted the special relationship between Dak Lak and India, particularly in education. The establishment of two “India Corners” at Tay Nguyen University and Luong Van Chanh High School offers valuable insights into India’s culture, history, and educational resources. Additionally, several Indian students are pursuing medical studies at Buon Ma Thuot Medical University.
