The Ninh Thuan Grape – Wine Festival 2023 is scheduled to take place from June 13th to 18th. According to Dang Kim Cuong, director of the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the festival will feature a grapevine trellis contest, providing a unique experience for grape farmers, locals, and visitors. The department has collaborated with localities and farmers to select 13 impressive trellis gardens, focusing on those growing new varieties and applying high technology.

Ninh Thuan, Vietnam is hosting a contest to promote its grapes and beautiful grapevine trellises. Participating farmers will create videos which include the addresses, areas, and varieties of their grapes, as well as images of their gardens. These videos will be posted on the contest’s social media fanpage, and visitors and internet users can vote and share their favorite videos. Awards will be presented on June 16.

Ninh Thuan is home to more than 1,000 hectares of grape farming, and supplies around 26,000 to 28,000 tonnes of fresh grapes to the market annually. Grape cultivation only makes up 3-3.5% of the total farmland, but results in a 20% value of crop production in the province.
