Da Lat has always been a source of inspiration for those immersed in creating beauty. It offers a unique backdrop and artistic spaces for contemporary art.
In the past, many renowned artists from southern Vietnam chose Da Lat as their destination due to its proximity to Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City) and its mountains, pine forests, fog, and waterfalls.
The forested highlands of Da Lat served as a gathering place for writers and poets, including Quach Tan and Han Mac Tu, who wrote famous poems that expressed the beauty of nature and the solitude of human life.
Prominent artists who lived in Da Lat include Pham Cong Thien, Nguyen Thi Hoang, Nguyen Duc Son, Pham Cao Hoan, Le Khanh, Tu Cong Phung, Hoang Nguyen, Lam Phuong, Tuan Ngoc, and Khanh Ly. They have all contributed to the artistic charm of Da Lat.
