The Departments of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan Provinces officially kicked off the Open Ninh Thuan – Binh Thuan Kitesurfing Tournament 2023 on My Hoa Beach in Ninh Thuan over the weekend.

Truong Ky Ly, a kitesurfer from neighboring Binh Thuan, praised My Hoa Beach for its suitability for kitesurfing.

The tournament is part of the activities organized in response to the National Tourism Year 2023 with the theme “Binh Thuan – Green Convergence,” said Nguyen Van Hoa, director of the Ninh Thuan Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

The province is striving to establish itself as an ideal destination for national and international kitesurfing competitions, in order to attract a wider audience of tourists and promote its unique landscapes, culture, and friendly local community, he emphasized.

In the past, Ninh Thuan has successfully organized several kitesurfing tournaments, including the Kiteboard Tour Asia 2016 and the Ninh Chu Kitesurfing Festival 2019.

Lai Hoang Phi, the deputy head of the organizing committee of the Open Ninh Thuan – Binh Thuan Kitesurfing Tournament 2023, shared that My Hoa Beach annually welcomes 2,000-3,000 visitors who come to practice kitesurfing and enjoy the thrilling kitesurfing performances.
