The beauty queen won the Best Eco Dress, a design inspired by traditional Vietnamese water puppetry, and was crowned Miss Eco International 2023 on the final night of the contest, marking the highest achievement ever by a Vietnamese representative in this competition.
This year, the nation sent Hoang Kim Chi to the Miss Eco International 2024 pageant. Previously, the beauty was awarded the Miss Fire title, equivalent to the third runner-up title at Miss Earth Vietnam 2023.
Miss Eco International was originally founded in 2015 with the motto “Beauty for Eco.” The grand finale of Miss Eco International 2024 is set to take place in Cairo on April 29.
The primary motivation behind the pageant’s inception was to promote environmental awareness among the public through the theme of economics and the environment.
Furthermore, the pageant also adheres to the motto of finding an ambassador specifically to champion environmental causes.
