Some of the films such as “Apples from the desert”, “The farewell party” and “Shoelaces” have received awards from international film festivals or the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
With the topics of family, love, humanity and the desire to live, the films are expected to provide the Vietnamese audience with a deep insight into Israeli culture and contemporary society.
“I believe that cinema is the window to the soul of a society. I would like to invite my Vietnamese friends to look deep into the Israeli soul through this window to understand us better,” said Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Nadav Eschar.
The film screenings will take place at the BHD Star Cineplex chain. There will be a special screening particularly reserved for disadvantaged children from the SOS Village in Hanoi.
In Hanoi, free tickets will be distributed at the BHD Star Cineplex Vincom Pham Ngoc Thach on November 7 and the Hanoi Tower from November 9 to 11. HCMC audiences can get free tickets to the festival at the BHD Star Cineplex Bitexco on November 21.
