In his address, President of the Vietnam-Germany Friendship Association of HCM City, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, extended greetings to the German people and expressed his delight at the significant growth of the Vietnam-Germany strategic partnership across various fields including politics, diplomacy, economy, trade, science-technology, justice, education, and culture.
Mr. Tuan emphasized the association’s dedicated efforts in fostering friendship between the two countries and pledged to continue working towards connecting the Vietnamese and German people and further strengthening the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Germany.
In her remarks, German Consul General in HCM City, Dr. Josefine Wallat, affirmed Germany’s high regard and attention towards its relations with Vietnam.
Dr. Wallat also highlighted that the German business community highly values Vietnam’s economic development potential and expresses the desire to promote cooperation with Vietnam, viewing the country as a gateway to enter the Southeast Asian market.
Furthermore, the German diplomat mentioned the positive progress in the relations between German localities and HCM City, which has been facilitated through delegation exchanges and cooperation in various areas, including people-to-people diplomacy.
Dr. Wallat expressed her intention to continue partnering with the Vietnam-Germany Friendship Association of HCM City in organizing people-to-people exchange activities, aiming to enhance mutual understanding, solidarity, and friendship between the people of Germany and HCM City.
