A total of 123 films from over 50 countries will be participating in the HANIFF 2022 film festival. Out of these, about 40 films will be screened for free at the CGV Cinema in Vincom Center Nguyen Chi Thanh.

The festival’s opening day on November 8 will feature a variety of foreign films, including “The novelist’s film” and “Once in a Summer” from South Korea, “Gentle” from Hungary, “Coda for a Captain” from Israel, as well as Vietnamese films like “Commandos” and “Maika: The girl from another planet”.

Short films from both Vietnam and foreign countries will also be showcased to the audience on November 9 and 11.

The list of films also includes high-revenue movies like “Pedro” from India, “Atlantide” from Italy, “Ambaro” from Colombia, “Close” from Belgium, “Memento Mori: Earth”, and “Blood moon party” from Vietnam.

Free admission tickets for the screenings can be obtained at the CGV Cinema in Vincom Center Nguyen Chi Thanh and the National Cinema Center.

HANIFF 2022 is making a comeback in the capital from November 8 to 12 after a two-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The festival aims to celebrate outstanding international and Vietnamese cinematographic works with high artistic value.

An exhibition showcasing Hanoi’s historical monuments and cultural heritage as film locations, as well as a seminar on the highlights of Korean cinema and film production, will be organized during the festival.
