On July 9, the FPT Telecom JSC promptly removed the film from its web and mobile versions after receiving a directive from the department. The department set a compliance deadline of 24 hours starting from 00:00 on July 10, 2023, and required a report to be submitted before July 12.
The department conducted a thorough review of all 39 episodes of the series and identified that the image of the nine-dash line appears in episodes 18, 19, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27, 30, and 38. Despite FPT’s attempt to blur the images, the department determined that the film is not suitable for screening in Vietnam due to its inappropriate content, which infringes upon national sovereignty.
