The event was organized by the France-Vietnam Friendship Association (AAFV) to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of the France-Vietnam strategic partnership.
On display at the event were more than 70 costumes, hats, scarves, and various accessories, jewelry, and everyday items from over 30 Vietnamese ethnic groups.
During his speech at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang emphasized the significance of the event in introducing the traditional costumes of Vietnam’s ethnic minorities from different regions to international friends.
Ambassador Thang also recognized the love of French collector Dussarps for the Vietnamese people, as well as his enthusiasm and contribution to humanitarian projects in Vietnam, which have helped improve the lives of ethnic minorities in remote mountainous areas.
The exhibition will be open until November 12, aiming to promote Vietnam’s image, seek support from international friends, and strengthen the friendship between the Vietnamese and French peoples.
