There will be a display of 100 Japanese picture books, known as Ehon in Japanese, for children of different ages. This event aims to help visitors gain a deeper understanding of the world of children’s books and promote a culture of reading among children.

Additionally, an exhibition showcasing original paintings by Japanese artist Yasumasa Suzuki, featuring Cosette, will take place at the Vietnam Japan Culture Exchange Center located at 27 Quang Trung street in Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi, from October 14 to 18.

During the event, there will be a dedicated reading corner where visitors can freely enjoy reading picture books.

A book fair is also scheduled to take place on October 20 at Du Parc Hanoi Hotel, located at 84 Tran Nhan Tong street in Hoan Kiem district.

Ehon are illustrated stories for children, combining text and images to convey a specific topic. Each page contains one or two short sentences that are suitable for children’s language level. The content and characters in these books revolve around familiar objects and activities commonly found in children’s daily lives, like eating, sleeping, playing, animals, and plants.
