According to Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, this year’s festival will span multiple iconic locations, including the east bank of the Dragon Bridge, Bach Dang pedestrian street, Hoi An, Tam Thanh beach park, March 24 Square, and various city-wide tourist attractions.

Kicking off the festivities are themed check-in spaces from December 20, 2025, to January 3, 2026. Four distinct decoration zones—Christmas, Music, Hoi An Colors, and Golden Da Nang—will feature illuminated models, festive miniatures, and iconic city symbols, creating perfect photo opportunities for locals and visitors alike during the holiday season.

The official opening ceremony will take place at 7 PM on December 30 at the east bank of the Dragon Bridge. A spectacular music show will combine cutting-edge lighting technology with performances by renowned singers, artists, and bands.

From December 30, 2025, to January 3, 2026, the Cheer Fest food space will tantalize taste buds with a diverse array of local and international cuisine, BBQ stalls, craft beer, and unique souvenir shops. On January 1, 2026, the city will host grand ceremonies welcoming the first flights and cruise ships of the year, complete with traditional art performances, flowers, and gifts at the local airport, seaport, and in Hoi An.

From early 2026 to August 2026, Da Nang will launch an ambitious marine tourism promotion campaign featuring themed check-in installations across major beaches. Each location will showcase its unique charm—from the vibrant energy of East Sea Park to the serene beauty of Ha Khe, and the cultural richness of An Bang, Cua Dai, and Tam Thanh beaches.

A festival highlight is the “Da Nang – New Year Avenue 2026,” taking place over three nights from December 30, 2025, to January 1, 2026, along Bach Dang pedestrian street. Designed as a “creative festival corridor,” this space will blend sound and light effects with dynamic street performances. Three main entertainment zones will offer a diverse range of artistic expressions, from hip-hop and dance sport to traditional instrumental music and interactive activities.

For the first time, the city will host a night run titled “Lighting up the Han River – Run to the Future” from 10 PM to midnight on December 31, 2025. The 5km route will take runners from Bach Dang pedestrian street, past the iconic Dragon Bridge, along Tran Hung Dao street and Nguyen Van Troi Bridge, culminating at the stroke of midnight to welcome the New Year. The event is expected to draw a large number of professional and amateur runners from Vietnam and beyond.

Complementing the festival, accommodation providers, restaurants, and travel companies will offer significant promotions under the “Da Nang Year-End Promotion Season 2025,” alongside the Mega Sale Holiday luxury brand event and the “Vietnamese Goods – Made in Da Nang” exhibition.

With its rich cultural and entertainment offerings, the Da Nang New Year Festival 2026 promises a unique festive atmosphere, solidifying Da Nang’s reputation as a premier festival tourism destination in the region during the year-end holiday season.
