The contest is open to all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 9 years and above, who will be divided into three age groups: Group A (9-13 years old), Group B (14-17 years old), and Group C (18 years and above). The registration deadline is June 30.
In the preliminary round, which will be open until July 7, contestants are required to submit a video clip featuring their solo performance on piano. The semi-finals will take place from June 22 to 24. The final round of Group A will be held on July 30, while the final round of Groups B and C has been set for August 4.
Winners of each group will walk away with prize worth up to 150 million VND. Notably, the finalists of Groups B and C will have the opportunity to perform with the symphony orchestra of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music.
The contest’s juries include prestigious, talented and professional artists, researchers, art managers, and pianists, such as former director of the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera Tran Vuong Thach, Acting Director of Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music Hoang Ngoc Long, and pianists Nguyen Thuy Yen and Eun Young Joo.
