Celebrating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and China, this event was a vibrant tribute to Asian culture, fostering cultural exchange and heritage preservation. The gathering attracted a distinguished audience, including representatives from Vietnamese diplomatic missions in the UK, local council members, and community organizations, underscoring the international community’s support for Vietnamese cultural initiatives abroad.

Under the captivating theme “Celebrating the Essence of Asian Culture”, The Asian Fusion event presented a dazzling array of artistic performances. Talented young Vietnamese artists showcased the beauty of their homeland through traditional songs and dances, while the “Nét Việt Muôn Nơi” fashion collection seamlessly blended Vietnamese heritage with British influences, creating a visually stunning spectacle that highlighted the diversity of Vietnamese provinces.
The event also featured a rich tapestry of performances, including Chinese traditional music, long-sleeve silk dances, tambourine drum dances, and Vietnamese royal court dances from Huế. The conical hat dances and cup dances added a unique Vietnamese flair. The cultural experience area was a crowd favorite, offering calligraphy demonstrations, an art exhibition, and the opportunity to savor Shan Tuyet Tea from Ha Giang, a delightful taste of Northern Vietnam’s mountainous region.
A Culinary Journey
The culinary experience at The Asian Fusion was nothing short of extraordinary. Crafted by the chefs of New Hongkong City, the menu showcased a harmonious blend of traditional and modern flavors. From abalone and lobster to the imperial golden roasted piglet adorned with caviar and 24k gold, each dish was a masterpiece, accompanied by detailed video introductions. This fusion of authenticity and innovation offered guests a unique gastronomic adventure, introducing Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine to a global audience.
Trinh Huyen, a representative of the organizing team, shared her vision: “The Asian Fusion was conceived as a platform for cultural dialogue, where communities can connect, understand, and appreciate each other’s traditions. I hope this event allows us to collectively celebrate the rich fusion of Vietnamese and Chinese culture and cuisine, two ancient and profoundly distinct traditions.”
