The route leading to the peninsula was filled with visitors from all over. Many of them were seeing the giant statue at the pagoda for the first time. Nguyen Ngoc Duc from Hanoi, who often visits pagodas across Vietnam during the Lunar New Year festival, expressed his excitement about touring Linh Ung Pagoda on Son Tra Peninsula this year.
He also noted the absence of beggars and street vendors along the road to the pagoda, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere. After offering incense, Duc and his family took photos with the statue of Guanyin and other attractions.
Duc expressed his excitement about seeing the statue of Guanyin for the first time and its magnificent view of the blue sea.

Linh Ung Pagoda, located on Son Tra Peninsula in Son Tra District, was built in 2004 and opened in 2010. The 20-hectare pagoda is famous for its statue of Guanyin, the tallest in Vietnam. In 2017, the pagoda was recognized as a tourist site by the municipal People’s Committee. It has attracted many local and foreign travelers to Da Nang.

Ha Long Carnival opens in Quang Ninh
The Ha Long Carnival, a highlight of the Ha Long – Quang Ninh tourism week 2019, opened in Bai Chay and Hon Gai tourism area in the northern province of Quang Ninh on April 28.
